A few words about Dave

Hailing from the far reaches of the frozen tundra in the great Northeast comes the force that is David Van Allen.  Dave has traversed vast distances fraught with great perils to bring to you his special brand of creativity. Not only can he hop on one foot and sing the entire beginning song to his favorite film The Neverending Story, he also has earned two art degrees in his trade and many awards and accolades. His multi-disciplined skill set and approach brings a unique and unforgettable tone to this work.

Dave is a storyteller at heart. He is a collector of memories and nostalgia; he is a music-maker and a dreamer of dreams. Dave never stops thinking or sketching. His home studio (and sometimes his desk here) looks like a meticulously organized cross between a toy store and a cabinet of curiosity, Even the snozzberries taste like snozzberries! A multi-disciplined artist, animator and designer, Dave is all about creativity. He has earned degrees in both fine art and media arts not to mention a few professional awards. Dave’s heroes are Jim Henson, Walt Disney, Maurice Sendak and #7 The Mick. Dave feels true art, dear friends, is 93% perspiration, 6% electricity, 4% evaporation, and 2% butterscotch ripple.
